There is a dry cleaning company in East Tennessee that adds a new store every few years. They recently opened a new store in downtown Knoxville, but with a different twist. The downtown area was basically dead about 10 years ago. Aside from people working in the office building there was basically no residential or night life. That has been changing as more of the old empty buildings are converted to residential condos. So, with more people living downtown and still a lot of people working there, they decided to open dry cleaners.  When they opened it, they also opened a Coffee Shop in the lobby.

So now if they get someone to come in for coffee, they realize they can drop off their clothes there also. When they come in to drop off, or pickup their clothes, they can get a Latte’ to go. Everyone is a winner in this, the customer, both stores and the owner.

Look around; is there a “coffee shop” in your future?
